at Elmwood and Lafayette
The Festival has always maintained a strong environmental aspect to the planning, development and operation of the festival. Did you know that every year the Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts plants a tree on Elmwood Avenue to offset our carbon footprint?
Environmental Row will be located on Elmwood and Lafayette. Come and learn about clean wind and solar energy alternatives and find out how to decrease energy consumption while lowering utility bills. Check out the status of our local waterways and see what’s growing green in Buffalo. The Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts has featured a solar powered stage for 11 years! Now is your chance to become informed and get involved with local environmental groups! If possible, please walk to the Festival, carpool or ride your bike!
Compost and Recycling
We compost all of the vegetable waste from the Festival Cafe, and we actively recycle plastic, glass and cans throughout the Festival. The Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts thanks you for helping us achieve a minimal waste event by sorting your refuse at the zero waste stations in the Festival Cafe!
